This sounds to me like a client issue with your Philips device. To prove that you can go to a web browser and browse the media on your server. Sorry to hear that you're having problems. What year is your TV? What is the pixel dimensions of your MPEG-2 file? Most Sony TVs sold in the U.S. before 2011 (or so) had limited format support (MPEG-2 and AVCHD only). MPEG-2 is supported, but my Sony Blu-ray doesn't play 1920x1080 MPEG-2 files. - Rick

I'm told there will be a future version of TS that will support embedded tuners as well as tuner USB sticks as long as they support the Linux DVB API. I'll post more details about this as I receive them.

Thanks. No need to test IE or FF. We know both of those work. I don't think Opera is supported, but I've passed this info on to Christian.It's a browser specific problem, not working in Opera, but working in Chrome. I don't have IE or Firefox installed, so I can't test in them.

I did not hear back about this. There is often a lag between new feature requests and the time they are added to the product.
As far as HD video transcoding on any low-cost NAS, I wouldn't expect that to work. They just don't have enough processing power to do that in real-time.

Let me check and see if they've changed the log-in info. It used to be that a password isn't required. The server is in Berlin, so that might be why you're seeing a long response time.

Sorry to hear that you're having problems. Whenever possible I try to avoid wireless for multimedia streaming because it's not unusual to "drop" a connection. Our tester says that both TM 3.0.1 and TS Special 7.0.7 are working with his AVI subtitle test video.
