Some yes, but look at the list - there seems to be a requirement for them to run a DLNA client (such as XBMC).
I assume you're looking for Twonky to include the functionality of TivoServer?

Re: Tivo and Twonky
Tivo needs to be a functional DLNA client for it to work with Twonky.
Postings on Tivo forums from just a month ago show that it does not yet support DLNA and there are no published plans to do so.

TwonkyMedia Server 5.1.4 - scanner problems
With 5.1.2 if I dropped a video into one of the watched folders it would appear fairly quickly - seemed like no more than a few minutes though I never timed it. With 5.1.4 however it takes a lot longer - it's been 25 minutes and it hasn't found the clip I dropped in one of the watched folders (scan ...

Your problem may be because you're running 4.4.18. Certainly running 5.1.x with that change I have no problems on a B650 Samsung (see my other posts on the matter).
I haven't checked whether I can pause DivX files - I'll give it a go and see what happens.

"Best" is subjective and the kind of discussion that can start flame-wars ;) With Vista you have the choice of either. Both have 30 days free trials. If the file copy was about 7 Mb/s then it suggests that that is the actual average bandwidth for the wireless link in your particular setup. In that case it's not surprising that you're having problems streaming. I recently switched to using HomePlug AV adapters to connect my TV to my Twonky server....

Re: NTFS under linux
NTFS is a different beast from other filesystems - can you, as root, read the files in that partition? I'd suggest that unless you have a burning need to keep it as NTFS you copy the media off and reformat the partition to either FAT32 (if you need to access it from Windows too) or EXT (if you don't).

There are Linux apps that you can use to separate parts of a video file and then recombine them (StaxRip uses them from memory). That assumes however that the video is really Level 4.1 compatible (see here ). Start reading with Avidemux and follow the links for the dozens of other tools until you fi...

Signal strength? Ripping settings? I'd still recommend you take this to the Handbrake forums...

I suspect you'd be better asking Handbrake questions on the Handbrake forums
Assuming you're using 802.11g then you've got about 22 Mb/s bandwidth available. Is anything else using the wireless? How's the signal strength?
