WD media players (LIve, Live+, Hub, Streaming) do not support external subtitles when streaming via DLNA. Actually most DLNA mediaplayers don't support external subtitles.
You can remux the subtitles into the video file and then the subtitles should work.

The genres and media files that appear in the Genre container are based on meta-data encoded into the media files. You would have to ensure that all these media files are tagged with your desired meta-data. MP3Tag ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP3Tag ) is a program that many people seem to use for ...

What instructions did you use to install Twonky?
It sounds like you have not relocated the Twonky appdata directory and the partition containing the /var directory is being filled to capacity.
Search the forum for how to relocate the appdata directory. It has been discussed several times.

The E4200 does not have the performance or memory necessary for transcoding.

Have you configured your ebox machine's firewall to allow external access on port 9000?
If not then that could likely cause a Connection Refused error. Twonky would not even come into play if port 9000 is blocked at the firewall.

You can't. Twonky was not designed to do that.
Twonky is a DLNA media server and as such was designed to stream media files when a media player requests a specific media file or playlist to be played. It does not function like a Shoutcast server where you 'tune in' to a media stream.

If AVCHD does not work then that is a problem with your Sony media player. Twonky just streams the media file as is, it is up to your media player to decode and render the file. And per your media players manual it cannot play AVCHD files via DLNA. See page 77 of your devices manual.
