Re: Twonky and network shares
Are you saying that Twonky on XP and Win7 are handling shares differently? I could install Twonky 6.0.30 on my son's PC running XP and try it. PB No. Sorry, I wasn't very clear. What I intended to say is that when Twonky runs as a service (i.e. it runs even when no user is logged in), that services...

Re: how to turn off or disable twonky
How would one do the above on a Mac? I can understand the problem for a NAS user but surely if Twonky is installed on a Mac or PC and you don't want it you just uninstall the application? PB I am a NAS user. I should have said, "how do you remove a NAS Twonky installation via a Mac." Since "nassetu...

Re: Twonky and network shares
On the sharing page use the IP address of the file server not its name i.e. for me I use \\192.168.2.150\Music instead of \\WILMA\Music and that works. PB I don't know why but it didn't work, too. During the last hours I've tried the version \\10.10.200.200\music\parents and file://10.10.200.200/mu...

Re: Itunes in Twonky 4.4.1.8
First of all I cannot install any newer Twonky on my LG NAS. Now my problem. As there is no manual which describes all of this. Why is there no link in ITunes to the Twonky server. I have to create a virtual drive in Windows and route this drive to ITunes. I thought that the Twonky would appear as ...

Re: 'Server not found' message sent by Panasonic Viera TXP42V20B
Now that is strange because I have a Panasonic TXP42G20B Plasma TV, a PC and DG834G v5 Router all hard wired and I can view videos (divx, avi etc) but cannot play mp3s from my library! According to the manual found here- http://tda.panasonic-europe-service.com/docs/2z4d0facaez3z2e2abz656ez706466z22...

Re: newbie questions - using twonky on mybook world edition
could somebody please reply to this topic? I have exactly the same problem and find it really annoying that only the public folder is shared Well it is probably because of the way WD has configured Twonky on that device. You might get more help by going to the WD forums- http://community.wdc.com/t5...

Re: Deny access by IP or network card.
On the command line when you start twonkyserver you need to bind it to a specific ip address with the -ip comand line option. This can also be set in the ini file.
Now of course the bigger question is why are you doing it this way and not using a router.

Re: Problem - MKV - TS 6.0.30 - Samsung UE40C6000
According to the manual I found for the Samsung UE40C6000, VC-1 video codec is not supported in an MKV container. The only video codecs supported in MKV according to the manual are- Divx 3.11 / 4.x / 5.1 / 6.0, XviD, H.264 BP / MP / HP, MPEG4 SP / ASP and Motion JPEG.

Re: Streaming VOB + Changing Audio Tracks
You are mistaken. Twonkymedia server just streams the contents of the media file requested by the media player. Audio track selection has never has never been an option in twonky server and it does not make sense for it to do this. If the media stream contains multiple language tracks then you must ...

Re: TwonkyServer MKV & Samsung Issue
Sorry but I can't help you with an example of one of these MKV files. I won't use MKVs because of the arrogant behaviour of the author of the MKVMerge program. He purposely broke many media players (both software and firmware) by insisting on implementing a 'feature' that had not been used for near ...

Re: TwonkyServer MKV & Samsung Issue
Are you running into the header compression issue that was created by MKVMerge version 4.1 and higher? Samsung TVs are specifically mentioned as having problems. See here:
