Definition of 'hacking' is relative.
You'll need to 'open' up the Live with telnet first, make a few easy entries to put things in the proper place, then run Twonky's PRO NASinstaller (not Live). Directions are here:

I don't want to sound ungreatful. But if you do not wish to answer my question or you do not know the answer could you please not reply. I already have 2 Twonky Servers (ok one of them is a old laptop, the other is a ASUS HDD) I am simply looking for another unit purely of video transfer. No one ca...

This isn't really a Twonky problem, but a hosed NAS problem. Short of contacting vendor, try hooking th NAS directly to a puter to troubleshoot, and I'd start by assigning a static IP on the NAS. The power outage may have bricked the NAS' OS, even if the drive spins up. No joy, then Im afraid it's o...

Time to move on, I spent a couple hours messing with it, modified .ini file etc. I now show files on the server preview but my streamer still shows no files. Program looks great but, I'm not shelling out $40 for a broke program, guess I'll try back in a few months. Program isn't 'broke'...what does...

Currently Im using Artist Index to navigate through my Mp3's. The top level looks fine as i.e ABC However the next level should in theory contain one artist name example Bryan Adams, then list all my Bryan Adams albums underneath. The problem is that Twonky finds all the B artists which could look ...

Kos and others are right...one needn't be a linux-whiz just to get this feature running on a NAS. I envision a question-and-answer session in the installer: 'Would you like to enable web-access during this install?" (you must open port 9001(etc.) on your router for web-access). Surely it wouldn't be...

Let me echo that... BETA versions are designed for testing. The people taking the time to "whine and complain" are sending feedback to the company so the product can get better. Much better that than removing the product and moving on. Yes and no. This is really a user-based help forum, not officia...

Folks-There is obviously an issue with the beta wrt Macs. If you are the sort of person who's risk-averse, by all means do NOT run beta's on Macs and whine/complain when things aren't cozy. If you want to improve support for Macs wrt Twonky, then simply run beta's with the expectation that things WO...

Think mp3 versions of blog/radio segments...value-added by the ability to timeshift/portability ala TiVo. Sort of exciting since it's relatively new(like mp3 compression when it first came on scene), but with info overload and certainty of competing technologies in the future, it will transition int...
