Anyone noticed, how vocal the mac users are? You decided to buy a minority operating system, with limited software support, but shout the loudest...... I'm a paying (mac) customer and what you're telling me is that your website is missleading? :?: I don't work for Twonkyvision, I only moderate here...

The showreel test file plays perfectly on my system, streaming from Windows and Linux i386 TwonkyMedia servers, to my PS3... Could it be something else on your network causing problems? Can you try installing a copy on TwonkyMedia on a Windows machine, and streaming the same file, does than work? yo...

Re: 4.4 Beta 3 released
Sounds nice. I'm waiting for ff/rew in MPEG2-Files. I'm a bit confused about the download. I downloaded the linux-setup-file "twonkymedia-i386-glibc-2.2.5.sh". After installation it still says 4.4 Beta 2 in the web-interface. The build-date of is 25.5. Maybe I have the wrong download-url? By the wa...

Re: <deep breath>
Is there anyway to get rid of the "Music" Pictures" "Video" folders I see everytime I go inot the server? I figure they are redundant since I already choose to browse music. thanks! That's already confirmed to be a problem at Sony's end.. Still for a 1.0 release of the feature from Sony, and a 1 we...

PS3 Unsupported Data - Possible Cause....
Everything has been fine for me since 4.4 Beta 2 and encoding my movies in the correct format. However, this evening, previously working movies, came up with Unsupported Data. It was because the movies live on a USB drive, that was in low power state, and took a small while to spin up. Perhaps PS3 i...

This clip uploaded here (35MB) is MPEG4, AVC with AAC audio, and works perfectly for me on PS3 and TwonkyMedia 4.4 Beta 2 (Win/Linux) FF/REV/PAUSE works perfectly..

Linux isn't OSX now is it? the OSX version does now stream any video But the claims are also, that the Windows version is also broken in the same way. And it streams exactly the same way that the Linux version does for me... Whilst I don't have a mac to test (and wouldn't touch one with a b...

MP4's working fine here.. (Inc FF/REW/Pause)
Find it strange so many people having problems, including total refusal to play MP4 (including store downloads), and other stuff. I took a video of my system earlier, showing full functionality, including FF/REW/Pause of MP4, playback of MP3/WMA and pictuere slideshow.. Enjoy... http://www.youtube.c...

OK, here is a test. Download a reference video from the Playstation store. (I used Pirate Of THe Carribean 3 trailer), Copy it to a USB stick. move the USB stick to your PC sharing the media. MP4's I made with HandBrake work great (though only in 2 channel, not 5.1, but I think that's a PS3 issue). I can post the command line I use to make them if anyone is interested. Noxon. Very well priced, and work well. No real firmware or playback issues. The display on the Noxon 1 is a bit naff, but then it's a very cheap device. The Noxon 2 is much better in this respect, but costs more. You takes your choice... Both are audio only. I have no desire to stream video, and I ...

Sony PSP - Have Sony missed a trick?
With it's 802.11b wifi, lovely screen, capable video and audio hardware, this would make an extermely cool UPnP rendering device. In fact, who needs any of the current products, if Sony did implement, UPnP rendering on the PSP, it would be the absolute killer hardware, ipod and Creative Video Zen ki...
