In the Beta discussion forum there is only a 4.4b5.
Guys, you should include the version number in the filename of the .zip... it's such a mess!

Uhm this 4.4.3b1 does not seem to work: I performed a clean install, entered my registration code and now it just tells me "no content available".
The file twonkymedia.main.db does contain my files.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

EDIT: Forget about it, I deleted everything in the twonkymedia.db directory and now it seems it's working.
Let's test the performance of this beta now :)

Oh well, this seems to be the right one!
I could play three hours of video content without Twonky skipping a beat, so I guess this 4.4.3b1 is the way to go!

Twonkymedia 4.4.3b1 on Debian Sid AMD64, serving to D-Link DSM-320.

I just also confirmed that 4.4.3b1 now plays my xvid files just fine (NSLU, DSM-320RD, 802.11g). Thanks Christian!

However, I just noticed that this version no longer includes all of my JPG collection, specifically the larger 1MB+ JPG files. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi Johnnyt,

I am having the same problem with my jpg collection. Version 4.4.2 was fine, but the most recent beta has a problem with jpg files...

DSM 320 Buffer problem

Hi, since 4.1 I was not able to get a stable videostream. It gets better when I increase the LAN Link speed to 100 MB instead of wireless transmission at 54 Mb/s. Something is blocking the speed and throughput. When I monitor traffic I see a throughput of 2 Mb/s which is not sufficient for the stream.
My last test was with 4.4.2. No changes. There is a problem with streaming and/or buffering.

I am sorry to say that the same DSM320 works perfect with TVersity !!!

Make a trace and compare the two systems, so you can find out where the problem is.

now, when playing avi's, video seems to be stuttering, hooks and starts again. not really funny.

ReadyNAS NV+
Firmware: RAIDiatorâ„¢ v3.01c1-p6 [1.00a034]
Twonkyvision Version 4.4.2

Client recognized properly as D-Link DSM320
DSM-320 with firmware 1.04.08.eu
Client Server connection wired. no WLAN.

i have no idea how to get this information

I can also confirm that the 4.4.3 (rc4) works without any stuttering

Config:
NSLU Unsling 6.10
DSM320 Fw 1.07EU

by akator
Configuration:

- OS X 10.5.2
- Twonky Media Server 4.4.4
- D-Link DSM-320 with FW 1.09US and Ethernet connection

Problem:

.mp4 video does not work at all. Divx, Xvid, and other video formats all work with no problem.

- Have tried changing client to generic, did not help.
- Have tried changing clients.db, did not help.

Any other suggestions?
