Hi,
first, i like TwonkyVision. It's a great tool and the only way to distrubute large contents on music on a Noxon1. The feature to group by alphabeth is great.
but, since I have a dsm-320 streaming client, I have big problems while streaming videos.
I use the following configuration:
- TwonkyMedia-Server 4.4
- Windows 2003 Server SBE (Athlon 3500+)
- Network: Powerline Zyxel PLA-400
- Streaming Media: DivX (~ 300Kb/s), Nero Recode (~ 200Kb/s), vob (>5000Kb/s)
The stream seems not to by very stable. I have many drops while playing the movies.
What can I change to have a movie without any drops?
(btw. It's not a problem of the network. I can play movies on a laptop using WMP and a windows share (ok it's tcp connect not udp) and also the streaming over the TV***y Mediaserver is absolute stable (but I don't like the stupide structure of TV***Y)).
Any ideas?
Thanks
Regards Heuby

Its a Twonky Bug
Dude,
Its a twonky bug in version 4.2-4.4
Install 4.4.3 beta 1 (4.4.3b1). This resolves that bug.

Hi,
got same problem - even after update to 4.4.3 beta1- try with my XP and NAS (Maxtore Shared StorageII & Buffalo Linkstation Live) while streaming DivX (~ 1600Kb/s), stuttering and dropouts...
Try also other "Streaming Buffer size" settings...no effect. It's not a problem of the network; all other videofiles streaming fine...with larger size ( ~5000Kb/s)! They're playing verry well....
Do I still have to buy a divX / XviD player ?
