PS3 and M4B files

Post by trojanfoe » Tue Dec 11, 2007 4:37 pm

Hi there, I have just installed (a registered) TwonkyServer 4.4.2 on my Linux server and my PS3 can happily see my files, however most of my Audiobooks are encoded as MPEG-4 Audio with the extension .m4b, for use on the iPod (it remembers where it was better when using this extension). When I browse those files via the PS3 I get "Unsupported Data" instead of any media info and the files won't play.

The PS3 supports MPEG-4 audio AFAIK, so what is causing the problem and how do I sort it out?

Thanks,
Andy

Just to answer my own question (I should have looked around better before posting); it looks like this is something that will be fixed in 4.4.3, however RC1 of that doesn't run for me, so will have to wait for a working version appears.
