I have three SMC EZ Stream SMCWAA-G devices. They sort of work. They play MP3 files sort of reliably. WAV files are another story. They may play several songs without a problem, but suddenly they will repeatedly stop in the middle of a song, display a disconnect error, and go on to the next song. I have tried them on both wired and wireless networks, and I get the same problem.

It seems as if TwonkyVision doesn't keep the buffer in the devices full. When the buffer empties, they stop. It's possible that the devices simply don't have enough buffer space to function properly.

Might there be a setting in TwonkyVision that would help? I am using version 4.4.4 under Fedora 8. I have tried reniceing TwonkyVision to a higher priority, but that does not seem to help. I currently have the EZ Streams connected on a 100 Mbs wired network.
