I am looking into the Freeview Media PLayer 450. The data sheet says all the right things, and indicates support for SMB (Windows file sharing), so there may not be a need for the Twonkyvision Mediaserver. I have used TV over years now and would like to continue using it as the single server system, streaming to several UPnP renderers on my network.
Freecom only says "UPnP supported," an unenthusiastic statement bare of any details that I am suspicious they may not mean UPnP AV media rendering (or whatever the full and official name for the protocol supported by TV is).
Has anyone sucessfully used one of the Freecom media players with a Twonkyvision Media Server?
