Buffalo Link Theater

Post by chrisbaksa » Wed Jun 04, 2008 2:06 am

Hello all,

I have a buffalo Link theater and I cant seem to play video correctly on it.
Every since I upgraded to 4.4.4, the video plays for a min or two then freezes for a few seconds then plays really fast for a few seconds as if it were trying to catchup.
It does this every few minutes making the video totally unwatchable.

I mostly play avi files. I have not tried VOBS.

I just dloaded 4.4.5 and I'm going to give that a whirl. I don't recall seeing this behavior with 4.4.3.
Has anyone else seen this? Maybe with another device?

What did you do to fix it?

Chris

Problem solved.

After some extensive testing on a few different machines, it seems that the issue was the 64 Bit OS.
Both Twonky and TVersity had the same exact issue when running on 64 Bit Windows 2003 Server as well as 64 Bit Windows XP.

I now have Twonky running in a 32 bit Virtual Machine (windows 2003 Server 32 bit) and accessing my media via UNC paths.
The issue has not popped up again.
