Popcorn Hour rocks

Post by jaak » Sat Nov 22, 2008 2:22 pm

I would like to elevate one product above others. I have been long time (in the context of streaming) vast fan of Dlink. Still, lacking support of MKV and H264 made me search another product. After short studying i made decision for Popcorn Hour. And I really like it, after using few weeks.

Best features of Popcorn Hour A-110 media tank are:

- HDMI 1.3 (1080p and audio in one wire);
- MKV compatibility, mainstream format for HD;
- ability to cope easily >15 Mbps stream bandwiths;
- excellent 10%, 20%, 30% ... jump function

You can read more from my HD streaming blog http://jacksgadgets.blogspot.com/

I really believe, that soon also here new section for PA will be established.

Important note about MKV's

In order to stream MKV-s, You have to upgrade TwonkyMedia to last version. Versions before 4.4.4 didn't index MKV-s, 4.4.9 does.
