Post by mikle_01 » Mon Nov 24, 2008 9:46 am

Today found "muvid IR 715" for ~ 90€:

Does anyone knows, if this device act as an Twonky Client (UPnP/DLNA- client)

It seems, that this streaming client is (with this name) only available in Germany. It looks, as shared musicfiles will be supported; but UPnP also!?

Hi mikle_01,
I bought this device even today.
It seems to be very good. FM + DAB + Internet Radio + Streaming client.
Access to Twonky server without problems.

BUT - it plays only mp3 with no spaces in title (ID3 tag). If there are spaces in the name you get a "format error".

Is here anybody who can post the right lines for this movid device in the clients.db please ??? :?:

Thanks in advance

Hi,
some additional information about the problem I told before:
It's a Twonky Server Problem. Twonky server v5.0.46 don't see the device automaticly. And - A BUG - I can not install the device manually (input MAC address + device type in config menue --> push Save --> device list is empty again!!!
So I now have reinstalled Twonky v4.4.6. This version sees the muvid and identifies it automaticly. And all mp3 plays fine.
So I think Twonky should bugfix this in the next version 5.

And - together with v4 - the muvid is a fine device. Quick response time, good graphical display. The only bad thing is that it has no FM-/DAB-antenna plug :(

Ciao
