Samsung B650 and .mp3 tags

Post by phew » Fri May 08, 2009 12:29 pm

I have Twonkymedia 4.4.6 on a Buffalo LS Pro where I store .mp3's.

When linked to my Samsung B650 TV I only get to play .mp3's that are tagged with ID3v1, if I have any tagged with ID3v2 the B650 tells me they can't be played. These ID3v2 tagged files play fine via the direct USB connection on the B650.

Would upgrading Twonkymedia help, or is there another way to get the B650 to recognise the ID3v2 .mp3's?

As a pont of interest:

If I manually (using hex editor) move the ID3v2 tag from the top of the file and append that to the end of the .mp3 my B650 sees the embedded graphic and also plays the music...which is a bonus.

Is there an ID3v2 tag editor that appends the tag?

Is there a change that I could make to the 'clients.db' that would save editting ALL my tags?

thanks.

Any news about this problem? I have the same problem, but I think that is not related with ID3 tags. Some of my mp3 files with v2.3 works, others not. :(

Any help would be appreciated.
