Using Twonky on LG BD390 network blu-ray player

Post by fjords1 » Wed Jul 08, 2009 9:11 pm

Has anyone had any success in getting to play AVI or WMV files on the LG BD390 player? I am able to stream MPG and VOB files successfully but not AVI/ WMV files. For reference, I am using the latest version of Twonky MediaServer on my Synology 106e NAS to stream the content. Thanks in advance!

I tried manually setting the parameters for Generic DLNA 1.5 within the clients.db file as suggested by someone for their Samsung TV. Unfortunately, that did not work either. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, I see that you have the BD390 and I am interested in buying it. I want it to use it with my Twonky running in a NAS server but all my music in in .wav files (typical cd audio rips 16bit/44.1Khz)
Could you please try a wav file to serve with Twonky and see if it plays OK with BD390?
If it doesn't play you could try setting parameters for Dlink DSM_510 or PS3 or Syabass firmware?
Please, please let me know before I buy it.

Yes I have successfully watched several .avi files on my LG BD390 using TMM on PC, TMS on linux and also by a PC-based Samba share.
