I'm pretty stuck here
I have a CH3SNAS on which my media (mostly photos) is stored and want to share this media with my recently bought Samsung LE40C650 TV (DLNA).
Problem is that the Twonky Mediaserver indexes the media fine, but I keep getting "unsupported filetype" errors on all my photo's and the tv doesn't show thumbnails either.
I've tried version 4.4 for DNS323 and 6.0.23 for DNS323 demo's and both have the exact same problem.
I uninstalled the demo versions and switched to MediaTomb instead, but I would rather like to use Twonky Media Server instead because it's a lot easier in it's use and doesn't require scripting knowledge etc.

Re: CH3SNAS and Samsung LE40C650 problems
Here's a few things I've found solving some problems with Samsung TV's, but as far as I can see they are all video or audio related, my TV doesn't even open jpg's
Edit the clients.db file with either:
>>
NA:Samsung HDTV
DD:Samsung HDTV
DB:Fix
XM:DNLA15
XM:DATETIME
XM:FORCE_DURATION
XM:FORCE_4TH_FIELD
HP:chunked
MT:mpeg,mpeg2,vdr,spts,tp,ts,avi,divx,mkv video/mpeg
MT:m4a audio/mp4
AV:no-m3u
or:
>>
NA:Samsung LE40B650 DLNA 1.5
HH:DLNADOC/1.50
HP:chunked
XM:DLNA10
XM:DATETIME
DB:AUTO
DL:MP4DLNA
MT:mkv video/MP4V-ES
MT:avi,divx video/x-divx
MT:mp4 video/MP4V-ES
MT:mpeg,mpeg2,vdr,spts,tp,ts,m2ts video/mpeg
MT:ogg audio/x-ogg
MT:flac audio/flac
MT:mp1,mp2,mp3 audio/mpeg
MT:mp3 audio/mp3
----
But as said, these don't refer to jpg problems

Re: CH3SNAS and Samsung LE40C650 problems
And yet another addon to my problems: As soon as I install version 6.0.23 and the Twonky Media Server is running all other network acces (eg net use or map network drive) to my CH3SNAS is blocked.
If I stop the Twonky Media Server all is fine.
Too bad, my first impressions where rather good, but the intentions of buying it are getting less and less with all the problems stackking up

Turns out to be a large file problem, smaller files do display correctly problem occurs in both versions so for now no Twonky for me I guess :S too bad!

Re: CH3SNAS and Samsung LE40C650 problems
I've found that the problem of not being able to gain network access with 6.0.23 are a result of Twonky filling up the NAS's root file-system and can be easily solved.
So now the only problem that remains is the fact that large jpegs aren't displayed correctly, which is keeping me from buying a license.
Too bad noöne from Twonky is taking the efford of answering

Re: CH3SNAS and Samsung LE40C650 problems
Today I've read the good news that it's possible to flash the CH3SNAS to a DNS323, hopefully this way better/more developed firmware solves my problems.

Re: CH3SNAS and Samsung LE40C650 problems
I must say I'm well impressed with the Twonky support
I've been reading through these forums and see a lot if unanswered questions around here, like this one
I've flashed my CH3SNAS with the DNS-323 firmware so it's now a DNS-323 instead.
Didn't help either, both 4.4.18 and 6.0.23 give the unsupported tiletype error on my Samsung TV.
I've tested it on my XBOX 360 and Samsung Galaxy S mobile phone and both show the pictures perfectly.
I've also tested the MediaTomb server that comes with fun-plug which is a lot harder to configure regarding how to index files but with MediaTomb and a few custom http header tweaks the pictures show up on my TV perfectly as well.
Conclusion: Definitely a TwonkyServer in combination with Samsung TV problem, since it does work with MediaTomb or other clients
I'm going to start a new post in the Internet Ready TV's section because it turns out not to be a problem with my NAS. Let's hope someone takes the effort of responding or comes up with a sollution.
From now on I'll continue about this problem here: http://twonkyforum.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 00&start=0
