Twonky on Dreambox, no search, no alphabet letter

Hi all,
I have twonky 4.3 server running on my PC(WinXP) and on a Dreambox. When connecting to the PC instance I can search AND I can use the alphabet letters on the right of my M1001 to browse.

When connecting to the Dreambox(linux), neither of the two features above seems to be working... :-(

Any advices/hints?
thx

Open twonkyvision-mediaserver.ini and change

"# Disable search for ROKU clients
nosearch=1"

the 1 to a 0 (zero) and restart. This will enable those letters you want and also of course the search feature.

This was created a while back, I can't remember when. I think it was made so the custom menus would be the main menu (I may be incorrect about that).

I've had my roku m1001 about half a year and I really love it.

--Edit-- I know for a bit they took out that feature, but I'm running v4.4 b3 and it has it --

I am running Twonky 4.4.4 an I set

"# Disable search for ROKU clients
nosearch=0"

in the twonkyvision-mediaserver.ini. But with my M1001: no seach and no apphabet letters :-(

Does anyone have an idea??

Hi,

it does work and it doesn't (at least not with 4.4.4RC3 and higher).

Reason: The Roku-Client is not properly detected anymore, hence the Roku-related setting itself is not used for this device :evil:

I already posted this quite few times but unfortunately the TV guys seems to have completely deserted from this forum since the 12th of February...

I agree with ThyMaster that the problem with having alphabet letters and search lies with Twonky 4.4.4

I am running Twonky 4.4 from a Iomega Storcenter 250 that I installed myself and recently I got a QNAP TS-109 with Twonky 4.4.4 installed.

In both cases i modified the Twonkyvision-mediaserver.ini file so that:
# nosearch=0

With version 4.4 my Roku Soundbridge M1001 nicely shows the large alphabet letters and supports search.
With version 4.4.4 no such luck

The MAC address recognition in 4.4.4 that replaced the IP address recognition in 4.4 and before is having problems with finding and recognising my Soundbridge, so the Soundbridge specific settings are ignored.
