I can play full albums via PC_windows media player and the soundbridge,but when going via the qnap ts-109-soundbridge I can only play indivicual tracks in an album

I have a TS109 II Pro running Twonky 4.4.9 and it works fine for my M1001 and R1000. Also worked with 4.4.6, 4.4.4. You will have to download the latest beta from Roku to get it to work probably (3.0.52).
