TwonkyServer 6.0.1 and M4A

Has anyone had success streaming M4A/AAC files to their SoundBridge with TwonkyServer 6.0.1? This used to work fine with version 5.x.x, but 6.x.x appears to be mis-reporting the bitrate of the files. I can see from Windows Media Player 12, that Twonky is reporting M4A files as having bitrates of 4000+ kbps - this is fine for some players, but the SoundBridge uses bitrate (or file size, or something like that) to determine if the file is AAC or Apple Lossless. I think the incorrect bitrate causes the SoundBridge to expect an Apple Lossless file, and so the playback simply fails.

Has anyone else run into this, or found a work-around?

I've hit the same problem with TwonkyServer 6.0.1 (running under Ubuntu 9.04 on Marvell Sheevaplug with Kirkwood processor). M4A files served by Twonky won't play on my SoundBridge M1001 (software v 3.0.44, ethernet connection) but play ok on PlugPlayer 3.2.2 on iPhone. The same M4A files (with various encoder versions and bitrates) all play ok on SoundBridge when served from iTunes 9.2.15 running on Windows XP Home SP3.

Mark seems to have got further than me in diagnosing the problem - I didn't really know where to start! For now I've reverted successfully to TwonkyServer 5.1.3-dev - which I think was the previous Kirkwood build.

Issue is still there with 6.0.30 and Roku Soundbridge // M4A.

reverted to 5.1.6 because of that issue ...
