Xbox 360, up to date with latest code drop, plays DIVX-encoded (.avi container) AC3 5.1 surround sound videos from Twonky 4.4.3.1 (Linkstation Pro) in 2 channel rather than 6 channel stereo sound - confirmed by Panasonic amp.

Surround sound is correctly working on said Xbox 360 in games.

Ideas?

I've tested this and it worked fine in previous builds but I will test tonight. Can you sendspace a sample avi?

I've tested this with several ac3 embedded xvid and divx files and haven't had any problem with 6 channel audio. Are you certain the file was encoded as you say it was?
