I've the following setup:
Synology 106j
TwonkyMedia 4.4.?
Wireless Router (cant remember brand its a SKY TV one)
Xbox 360
I've been very happy with the way everything works and I stream divx's quite easily and music. However quite often I find that 1/2 way though playback of mp3's audio is dropped. The xbox still think it is playing the track but isn't outputting any audio. When the playlist progresses to the next tune, or I skip forward audio is resumed. Nothing like this happens with video playback.
Any ideas or anyone with the same problem?

Re: Music Playback Intermittently Inaudible
Yea, I get the same problem, but only on occasions and only with SOME of my albums and tracks.
I gather it may be a memory thing perhaps. My server isn't particulary quick (Only a 900mhz Pent 3 with 512mb of Ram). Very weird it only happens occasionally - sometimes you can even just reset the server and play the track again, and it works fine!
Not sure whats going on, any ideas?

I have the same problem any solution?
I suspect my router or wireless connection, but what doesn't seem right is that im able to stream video without any problems!
I stream from my: Xbox360 -> D-link DGL 4300 -> Qnap NAS TS-209 -> running Twonky Version 4.4.4
The song is playing fine at the beginning but after a few seconds the sound is gone but playback continues on the xbox. At the end of the sond sound appears once again!!!

I have the same problem
Xbox360 - through linksys SD208 switch - Clarkconnect (CentOS) with Twonky
The track begins, plays about ten seconds, continues to play silently, plays the last second of track audibly, starts the next track audibly the continues the same pattern. The same tracks play flawlessly via PC in web browser which uses the Quicktime plug-in. Videos play flawlessly on the 360

Same exact problem here, songs last for only a minute or less, sound cuts out for anywhere between 1-5 minutes, then resurrects.
XBOX -> DLink DI-624 -> Dell Inspiron 6000 running Ubuntu 8.04 -> Running Twonky 4.4
Is there any moderator to these forums that can help? I don't see a resolution here and I've seen other similar threads without resolution. I also don't get any response from their support email address: support@twonkyvision.de. This is a deal killer for me, so I hope some solution is found.

Re: Music Playback Intermittently Inaudible
Seems this has been a problem for a while now, Twonky support has yet to respond to users emails.
I have the same problem if I go DLink w/ Twonky -> Wireless -> 360
But I don't have the problem if I go Dlink w/ Twonky -> Cat5 -> 360 or Windows Media -> Wireless -> 360
Looks like the problem has to do with how Twonky streams music over wireless...
Take a look at this thread which started almost a year ago http://www.twonkyforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=3562

Re: Music Playback Intermittently Inaudible
My setup is Cat5 connected and I have this problem so it is not just a wireless issue

Interesting, Cat5 or even ethernet over power works fine. I only have the problem when trying to stream over wireless...
