*very* slow

Hi there,
I've googled for the following problem and seen a lot of people with it, but with no solutions
I have a WD mybook NAS drive with twonky 4.4.9 on it. My Xbox 360, on the same wired network, sees it fine, and plays from it without problem, but it takes an eternity to build the initial playlist. If I leave the playlist and come back into it, it needs to build it from scratch again, which can take up to a minute.
Whereas streaming wirelessly to mp3s on a PC in another room the xbox builds the library instantly. It's very frustrating as the main reason I went for the NAS drive with Twonky was to have a central media set up.
Anyone got a remedy to speed the little bugger up??
