Why won't some AVI play

I used to have T V ers1ty, but switched to TwonkyMedia recently. It's much faster but extremely picky about what it will and won't play. All my AVI's played no problem on T V ers1ty, but 70% of them won't play anymore now I've switched to Twonky.
Am I missing something?
