No connection from XBox 1 to Twonkymedia

Post by piet100 » Mon Dec 27, 2010 9:09 am

I have an Xbox 1 with xbmc installed and would like to connect to my qnap NAS which runs Twonkymedia 6.0.30

Twonkymedia seems to run fine, I can manage it through the webinterface on port 9000, but I cannot connect to it from my Xbox.

on my Xbox I use the link: upnp://<nas ip address>:9000/ which seems to be fine as I have read this somewhere else.

On the Twonky web interface I can see the IP address of the Xbox which seems to be trying to connect.
As model i says something like O2 jukebox, which it seems to find out itself. I am not sure if this needs to be changed.

As soon as I click on the UPNP link on the Xbox, the Xbox freezes and doesn't respond to anything anymore, I need to push the on/off button to restart it.

Anyone an Idea on how to get this configuration working ?

It won't work UPnP.

Use a SMB Share

Settings ->> Network ->> SMB Cient

Make sure the workgroup is the same as on your windoze network.

I tried the UPnP route for a long time before I discovered this.
