PS3 v2.17 & QNAP TS-101 - delays streaming?

Post by Uncle Mike » Mon Mar 17, 2008 7:25 pm

Is anyone else using a QNAP TS-101 (on the latest beta firmware with Twonky 4.4.4) and streaming to a PS3 on its latest firmware? I've been streaming some stuff today, and it's all taking forever to start playing, even though I can see traffic is flowing over the network by looking at the activity lights.

I think maybe the PS3 is buffering a LOT more than it used to. But it's really annoying.

It's defintely doing something new under 2.17, as I've reset all my equipment, and the behaviour is the sae: buffering for a long time prior to stream playback starting, and occasionally rebuffering halfway into a track.

I'm also getting a lot more network dropouts/PSN disconnects. What have they done?
