Yes, 2.20 is out. I applied update and all my WMV files above 2 gig will now start, but not work properly. Very jerky video. I'm using Twonky 4.4.4. Also tried with identical files from a Windows box serving up from it's media sharing with the same results. Seems the v2.20 breaks WMV file playback either using Twonky or Windows Media sharing. Any help welcome.

Xbox and Dlink 520 still work s fine with same videos.

Any good free WMV to AVI convertion tool. preferably in batch mode.

I must say the PS3 is a very good machine. The hub of my media......

mpeg4 streaming is also broken since 2.20 update. The video playback is stuttering now and so watching mpeg4 videos is quite senseless at this moment.

At this time i would suggest NOT to update to 2.20 until this problems are fixed by a quick hotfix.

Can't have everything I suppose, Sony fix WMA file streaming problems and introduce (or should that be re-introduce) problems with streaming video files. Both AVC and WMV files are choppy/jerky on playback, at least MPEG-2 files seem to be unaffected!

Can also confirm MP4 stuttering, (AVC/AAC).. At least all my music works again.

Hoping for a bugfix release soon... Sony really need to do some public beta testing before unleashing this on 11million PS3 owners...

Anyone know if Sony is aware of this? or do they care. My son's xbox 360 still works fine.

Hi All,

I have big problems after updating my PS3 to new 2.20 FW. All my video fils except mpeg2 are know written as unknown format on the ps3 I mostly have divx and mpeg4. I just used a lot of time converting all my daughter child DVD´s to mpeg4 to make it easier to play back, know nothing works. Many of you a writhing about problems with playback, I can’t get it to play at all.

Has any one the same problem.

Best Regard
Lars

Ps. I have installed twonky 4.4.3.1 on my D-link DNS-323 network hard drive. Every think was working fin until I did the update.

Now everythink runs like before I did the update PS3 update,

The only file I cant play is dvr-ms. I hope ps3 will support in the futur.

Of course they care, Microsoft are the ones that don't care, shoving 11 million faulty 360's onto the market with any hardware testing, just to get an early foothold this generation...

PS. PS3 firmware 2.3 is due mid-April, with embedded PSN store. Hopefully it will; also fix the MP4 stuttering issue.
