DLNA error 7522 on PS3

Post by John778 » Sat Apr 05, 2008 3:39 pm

I only use twonky (trial 4.4.4) to play mp3's on my playstation. It works, but on my largest mp3 folder it gives an error DLNA 7522 on my ps3. In this folder I have subfolders ranked by alphabet, and I only see about 20 folders up to the letter b, the rest is not displayed. What can I do?

I tried winamp before, which gives me a different DLNA error 4405, and I am just looking for a music solution.

Sounds like a network issue. Have you ensured your router has the latest firmware, and UPnP enabled?

yes UPNP is enabled. Found out something very weird though. As said I have artists stored in alphabetised folders:

c:\music\artist a\album 1
c:\music\artist a\album 2
c:\music\artist b\album 1
c:\music\artist c\album 1
c:\music\artist c\album 2
c:\music\artist c\album 3
etc.

I only see the first 15 folders of these, right up to the artists starting with letter c, and I get the dlna error

I then split my music in two folders for testing purposes:
c:\music\artists a-d contains 20 subfolders
c:\music\artists e-z contains 60 subfolders

I now expected folder a-d to work fine, since it has less content. To my amazement it still only shows the exact same 15 folders it did when everything was all in one folder. Even more amazing, folder e-z works fine, which has a lot more files and subfolders. Totaly clueless. Could it be a naming thing? I'll try removing the first folder that is not displayed now, and see if that was the problem.

It turns out twonkymedia doesn't like the album "the very best of" by Bush. weird. removed it, it was the first album not displayed and that solved it
