Ciao guys,
I installed Twonky 4.4.5 on my Asus wl-700ge router and it works pretty fine (I am still evaluating it, probably I will buy! ), although some file-types are not recognized by my PS3 (FW 2.30).
These are AVC files and AAC music files.
The former are visible but it says "data not supported", while if I store them on a memory stick plugged to PS3 I can play without any problem. The latters are not displayed on PS3 ("no files" is displayed), while it seems Twonky correctly store them in its database as more than 1000 files are found.
Can someone help?
thanks in advance!

Re: 4.4.5 version and problems streaming some file to PS3
Hi,
I am having a similar problem at the moment with some DIVX Avi files. I am using Twonkymedia 4.4.5 on a Linksys NAS200 connected to a wireless BT home hub router and strwaming wirelessly to my PS3.
I have ripped some dvd's using DVD shrink, then I converted the VOB files into DIVX HD avi files using Win AVI 8, if I put the files on to a SD card they will play fine on the PS3 but not when streaming from Twonkymedia. Any ideas why? I will later attach a screen shot of GSPOT which shows how the file has been encoded and what codec was used etc.

I forgot to mention Twonky is set to "PS3" as client which should ensure the maximum compatibility with PS3.

Is there a reason that you converted to DIVX? Since PS3 and Twonky will play the VOB files directly.ahphoto wrote: I have ripped some dvd's using DVD shrink, then I converted the VOB files into DIVX HD avi files using Win AVI 8, if I put the files on to a SD card they will play fine on the PS3 but not when streaming from Twonkymedia.
