Hello,

i use my PS3 with the Twonky and it wors very fine, my only problem ist playing DVD. On the HDD of my Computer are some DVDs, when i play vts_01_0.vob it works fine but when this chapter is over the next chapter vts_02_0 won´t start automatic. When i manually start the next chapter i dont have audio.

My next Question is, what kind of sort make the twonky, my music isnt in the right. alphabetic???

Why not rip it as a single VOB file? DVD Decrypter allows this.

I would also like to hear if this will / can be fixed. I have hundreds of DVDs ripped to hard drives and do not want to have to go though the procedure again.

I am looking for a way to play multi VOB DVDs on my PS3. Is twonkyvision the product for me?

I had the same problems....

You have to use VOB2MPG 2.5 copyright by chrissyBoy 2007

- Ripp DVD's with only one dolbydigal audio track (not dts)
- no subtitle
- run vob2mpg
it will create one mpg file wich you can stream to PS3
its only a copy - no long transcoding
it will take 2-3 min

I can successfully convert the 'main track' of a DVD to an mp4 file that the PS3 plays quite happily.

However, I have quite a few 'tutorial' style DVDs that have no main track and rely on the menus. I think that adamb has the same issue as I do. I would really like to play my DVD rips straight from the NAS. Can I do that?

If I can't is there any alternative format that preserves the menus and navigation of a DVD?

I have read people mentioning about a single .VOB file but I don't know if that is just a single movie or something else. Can anyone expand?

Thanks

Andrew

Basically on a DVD the VOBs are split at 1GB (I think) whereas using DVD Decrypter you can tell it to create one large VOB file with the movie, soundtrack etc in it so you don't have to watch part of a movie then select the next VOB.
