Problems streaming .TS files to PS3 Twonky 4.4.4

Post by ahphoto » Mon Jun 16, 2008 1:28 pm

Hi Everybody,

I am just wondering if anybody is having the same problem as myself. I have a QNAP TS-209 NAS device running Twonky 4.4.4 and I am have problems streaming .TS files from the NAS to the PS3. My old NAS device was a linksys NAS200 running the beta firmware v3.4R71 which had a version of Twonky embedded, I'm not too sure of the version but it was running version 4. something for Twonky. I had no problems streaming .TS on that version. But on the current version 4.4.4 and 4.4.5 I get the message 'Unsupported data' Has anybody got any suggestions of advice?

****Update***** The version of twonky installed in the v3.4R71 beta version of NAS200 apparently is 4.4 beta 4.

I've converted my .ts files to DivX, for transferability, and am streaming those (with .mpg extension)

hi Phil,

Thank you for your response, I would do the same but some of my films have 100+ .ts files, would take me months to convert. What program do you use to convert files to divx? I have used winavi in the past to convert VOB files to divx but they do not seem to work.

I'm using DivX Pro. I figured it was worth the small cost to get the full thing
