Help streaming media from a Linksys NAS200

Post by xq5rm7 » Mon Aug 11, 2008 5:49 pm

The ps3 sees the linksys as a media server, but when I browse the folders, all the movies come up as unsupported media. Has anyone had this problem and fixed it? It works find with a d-link dns 323, so I am assuming it is the linksys, but thought someone may have ran into this problem before. Thanks for any info!

I'm guessing your PS3 firware is version 2.40 or newer.

In which case you may want to have a look at the following thread

It appears to be a known problem with the PS3 and video streaming since the 2.4x update

But I have no problem streaming video from my d-link NAS 323. Works like a charm. Damn, I will have to see if linksys or sony put out a firmware update to fix this.
