Re: Hd VOB seeking Twonkyvision to PS3
Hi Everyone, Just quick update, still looking for help on this one, Seeking does work and correct time shows up on these files with tversity, Tried it this morning with same file, On tversity time showed as 1:26:45 and on twonky showed as 999:59:59, is this an issue with the qnap or twonky, any replies (even guesses, lol) would be appreciated

Hi scottmillar28,
sorry can actually be of no help ... but least thing, i can confirm these symptoms
Its either the 'cpu-power' of my NAS (ICYBOX 4220) or its a 'feature' of twonky ...
Regards

Re: Hd VOB seeking Twonkyvision to PS3
Hello,
how big are the VOB files that you are streaming?
I downloaded some Blue Rays, coverted them to VOB file of +- 8 GB.
When placed on my Qnap TS 209 II and I want to stream them to my PS3, after 10 sec, it starts shocking.
note, when I stream from my PC with Tversity, I have the same problem.
is it a PS3 problem? ( since I have the problem when I stream from my Qnap or Pc with Tversity)
what firmware do you have on the PS3 installed?
Thx a a lot

It's a PS3 problem. I played a lot m2ts (from mkv 720p) and have the same problem.
I'm on Twonky 4.4.6 on a Buffalo NAS with a 2.53 PS3.

Re: Hd VOB seeking Twonkyvision to PS3
You say it's a PS3 problem... but:
I have 2x Western Digital Mybook World II (1tb each), 1 runs twonky, 1 runs mediatomb.
I recently tested a blu-ray rip of goodfellas (13-14 gig) on each. The mpg was converted from MKV using mkv2vob.
On Twonky
when I hit scene search... no pictures at all.
when I fast forward 10 minutes... it seems to take ten minutes to get there
when I fast forward ano hour... I have to go do something for at least fifteen minutes (which is borderline useless)
On Mediatomb
when I hit scene search... 50% pictures... 50% "?"
when I fast forward... it takes up to 30 seconds to get me to anywhere in the movie... which is a nuisance... but bearable.
I'm not blaming my PS3.

Re: Hd VOB seeking Twonkyvision to PS3
is the word m-e-d-i-a-t-o-m-b banned on here or something?
Shall I refer to it as "the free media server that dare not say it's name"?
A = m.e.d.i.a.t.o.m.b in my message.

Sorry... while I'm at it...
Twonky does not work out how long the media is (in time)... just 99:99:99:99:99...
"The other server" does.
