Video Format to see movies in PS3

Post by Nicholas » Sat Jan 31, 2009 1:46 pm

Hiya guys,

Noob question. Which video format is best to use to view my movies on my PS3 via Twonkey?

All my current movie files are in .mkv format.

Thanks

Nicky

H.264 is generally the best. Use Handbrake or PS3Video9 to encode them. Both tools are free.

Handbrake comes highly recommended for this job. Built in PS3 profile, might want to lower the bitrate depending on your SAN capacity ;)
