MyWorldBook stream.

Post by cesarp60 » Fri Feb 05, 2010 3:05 am

Hello,

I am having trouble using my PS3 and mybookworld hdd. I have a linksys router connected to both devices. The PS3 recognizes the hdd and I am able to browse the hdd. I have a few movies in their and when I try to play them I get a not supported error msg. I grabbed the same movie that I tried to play and put it on a flash drive and hooked it up the PS3 and it played like a charm. So the file is good, the problem is the hdd and PS3 mix. I read in other posts about the twonky media server version. I have version 5.1, is there a new version that can fix the problem? What can I do so the movie plays through the hdd into the PS3? Thanks!!

I'm having the same issue. PS3 displays unsupported video error using the imbeded Twonky software on my Western Digital MyBook Live...yet I can easily play using PS3 Media Server, Vuze media server, etc).

Very frustrating...can the s/w be updated without having to wait for WD? Is this a codec issue?
