how to wire your network pc and ps3 without internet?

i can not figure out for the life of me how to do this i must be the most retarded moron on the planet, and someone help plz 
You could connect the PC and PS3 directly using a cross-over Ethernet cable, or connect them both to a hub, switch, router or access point. If they are in different rooms you could plug each into a Powerline adapter which then connects them via your power sockets.
