Hi All,
I was really hoping for this to allow me to view xvid videos on a PS3 from a MacBook. The program runs fine and the service shows up on the PS3 but I cannot seem to load any media. When I enter the folders and rescan, a popup window tells me that a rescan is in progress. I've left this for up to 10 hours and I still don't get any media shared. Any ideas as to why this might not be working? Any help would be great.

The PS3 has to support the formats served by Twonky. XVid is not currently supported by PS3.
Start with easy stuff, copy a few MP3's or WMA's in, does the PS3 play these (it should), then try some movies. Make sure it's H.264/AVC format (the best format for PS3).
On Windows you can use PS3Video9 to encode it. I think Mac has a proram called Handbrake, which does similar.
I have Twonky and PS3 running very well here. (I use the Linux server myself, so can't really help with any Mac specific stuff unfortunatly).
