How to get non-dynamic web access URL path for video files?

Post by Frank » Thu Aug 23, 2007 7:32 pm

Hi,
I am a newbie here, just installed trail version of TwonkyMedia 4.4 on NAS, great product and works very smooth for me.

My main purpose of having TwonkyMedia is to stream video from my website, so I put video links on the website and it does work and do real streaming, for example http://External-IP:9000/disk/video/O3$5 ... 360189.wmv map to my video file $(Content Locations)/videos/2007/myvideo.wmv.

Here comes my only problem, every time I restart the TwonkyMedia server, most of the file paths got changed!! That means after a rescan the web access file path were changed, so I will have to modify thousands of links, this is such a pain. I am looking for a way to find a fixed web access URL path for all my media files, so I can automate the process. It would be a nice new feature if we can make it same as the physical file path (relatively from http://External-IP:9000/disk/).

Thanks in advance for any input or suggestion!
