Using XP Pro, no password on sign in.
Using Datatank Gateway as stroage for media
Looking to connect PS3 - XboX360 - XboX and Wii for streaming of files.
Twonky came on the datatank, i understand from looking aroudn it is an older version and Freecom are not curretnly offering an update of the license.
I see thier is a trail version, however unless i can be sure i am reluctant to part with monies just yet and override the current set up.
My main question is, how does twonky work from a network drive when the network drive needs a password (and there is no way of turning this off)
All my consoles see the Datatank when Twonky is turned on, but the
XboX says i dont have permission to connect
PS3 wont recognise any media on it (have tried this medai driect from USB Ext HD and works fine)
This is currently configued on the Datatank, where exactly i am not sure as there is no indication.
If i get Twonky and install it on the PC will the PS3 pick up the Datatank, see and more importantly play the media?
Is there a set up in Twonky for LAN password rights netowrk'd drives?
Need some set up tips, currently drive is pretty redunant as nothing can be streamed to TV from it. No money left to buy any other kit.
Cheers.....Q
