Picture rotation when rescaling?

The 8Mpel pictures from my camera come with rotation metadata. It appears the Twonky rescaler (see also my other post about its resolution) does neither pass on this metadata, nor does it (which is probably the better option) rotate the picture if the metadata indicates it to be rotated. At least my HDX-1000 (NMT by Syabas middleware) doesn't rotate pictures when playing from Twonky.
