I have successfully installed the twonky on my new sinology 107+. when finished the terminal window shoved that I could access the web interface at this address HTTP://192.168.0.112/9000:adminpage/index.html. but when copied to explore there is shown that the side is in available. Why??
Next thing.
I can’t see any software label in the menu when logging in as admin on the sinology, is it normal?
Best regards
Torben Ibsen
Ps. I have to use the synology with an Ipod touch with songbook and a Linn Akurate DS
I´m running windows XP on my PC

Hope this helps

I assume you mean you can't see Twonky in de synology-menu? That is correct, Twonky will not be added to the menu.I can’t see any software label in the menu when logging in as admin on the sinology, is it normal?
Hope this helps

Re: Twonky on synology 107+
Hi again
First I have to said that I`m sorry for the low niveau in the English languish
I have spend nearly 2 weeks trying to figure out what went wrong in my system, trying to get my new Linn Akurate DS player to work. IM AM DESPERAT.
My equipment is as follow.
Audio Aero SACD player with preamp
Linn Akurate DS
Netgear prosafe DGFV338 router used as both router; WIFI access point and DHCP server
Synology 107+
Ipod touch with songbook UpNp software.
I have made the installation of Twonky at the NAS and it seemed to work properly but I can’t get in touch with the web interface.
In the songbook software on the Ipod I can see the Akurate DS stated as “MAIN ROOM†and I can start the DS unit and let it in stand by
In the library I can see the NAS and the files located in the music folder. But I can’t make any playlist or do anything else.
I guess the problem is that I can’t log in to the twonky and make any settings. I have tried to fix the IP address related to the NAS and disable DHCP but it haven’t made any different.
I have treid the following:
HTTP://192.168.0.112/9000/configpage/index.html (it is the address stated in the twonky installer when finished
Do you have any suggestions???
Best regards Torben

Re: Twonky on synology 107+
I've also been struggling/messing with Twonky on my 107+ and had success with version 4.4.11. Worked just fine. I've just upgraded to 4.4.14 and will see how it goes. All version 5's don't work for me, as I have some photo issues.
If you want to deinstall the version you are currently running to install another version, don't worry if the nassetup.exe doesn't seem to work. Just go into the Synology file manager, choose the public directory and delete any directory in it that contains "twonky" in its name. Then install the new version as root (with your admin password). This worked well for me, and TwonkyMediaServer 4.4.14 read my media in 10 minutes. You can see this at the URL http://192.168.178.xx:9000/config
Have fun! Finally all this stuff is beginning to work as I had envisioned it.
