When I try to install TwonkyMedia Server on my Mac mini with Snow Leopard installed I use to get message that TwonkyMedia Server was successfuly installed and I am switched to Safari. Safari generates immediately above stated message. I tried to remove everything, to reboot comp or I even switched it off and restarted (after deletion of all visible traces of Twonky) - result is the same. It works well on laptop (Acer) connected to LAN (wired) with Panasonic TX-P42G15E . I even stopped firewall, but nothing helps. Can anybody help with this problem?

I have the same problem after downloading and installing the newest Mac version TwonkyMediaServer_MOSX_5.1.2.mpkg
Before everything was running fine. I've seen in "Information" the version 5.0.61 is installed - as before!! And not the dowloaded version 5.1.2.
Please guys - fix this.

For some strange reason the TwonkyMedia Server is not started during the installation.

Try to start the Server by clicking on TwonkyMediaServer in Application folder, and then it should work.

I tried this and much more - no chance to install it. I did not get any possibility to register purchased code... Maybe, it works on older Mac OS version, but... Or maybe some older version of Mediaserver works?

Hi again. I tried installation of 5.1.2 on my Powerbook (Core Duo 2,33) with newly installed upgrade to Mac OS X 10.6.2. It is the same - no possibility even to enter registration number. I hope guys at Apple or Twonky will do something soon. Answer from Twonky to delete everything, reinstall and reboot does not work.

Same here ! Mac OS X 10.5.8 and since today MacOS X 10.6.2. I also tried the very often suggested use of the IP address instead of "localhost". Does not work !

As far as I can see in this forum many user have the same problem. Why is there no answer from the Twonky guys?

I am having exactly the same trouble, but *sometimes* Twonky does start when booting.
It is however not sharing any files since the indexing process gets stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Woop, I tried to play again with Twonky media Server and it suddenly started configuration page on my Powerbook (unfortunatelly there is not enough space to keep all media files there). God only knows why, as it has never worked there before. But when I tried it on completely new iMac (no other software installed) - I could not get even to entering license key. If there is anybody from Twonky - guys, will you return me my money?

I too am having issues. Never got the page to enter the license key. Server seems to be up and running although not working properly. I can get the media browser, but the configuration page comes up blank (though with a title), Firefox offers error messages failed to connect in three different frames. "Failed to Connect" - and no, clearing the cache didn't help. The error console gives two messages:

No element found http....:9000/rpc/info.nics
strLanguageFile is undefined http....:9000/configpage/TwonkyMediaConfig.js

Any ideas? already tried the reinstall....

Hmmm.... a little more info... I was transiently able to connect from my laptop, but the pages were spotty - sometimes the language choices would show, sometimes not for example. Sometimes the registration key info was available, sometimes not. And of course, I can no longer connect at all again. Something weird on the server end of this equation!
