Twonky 5.1.2 quite slow scanning mkv/m2ts files :(

Hi all,

i just updated from twonky 4.x.x to 5.1.2 and have big problem now. my video directory contains about 10 blu ray movies in mkv/m2ts format which where all scanned and streamed with twonky 4.x.x without any problems.

with the new 5.1.2 twonky it starts scanning but then hangs up in a certain movie directory (m2ts). the scan process is now about 2 hours running and it seems there is no progress going on... any suggestions on how i can find out where the problem is?

i just took a look into this certain movie directory and one special thing is that the movie seems to be divided into 404 m2ts files... but why had the old twonky 4.x.x no problems with it?!

It seems like the new twonky 5.1.2 needs quite too much time for scanning mkv/m2ts files, in my case about 2-5 minutes for each - absolutely no chance when trying to scan 2000 files

why is it so much slower compared to twonky 4.x.x?
is there any analyzing or transcoding done while scanning with twonky 5.1.2?

hmm, no one else with this problem?

i should mention that i am using a qnap ts-210 nas system which only has a 800mhz processor. but nevertheless, scanning was no problem at all with twonky 4....

besides, could anybody post how long mkv/m2ts scanning takes on his hardware (with twonky 5)? even with a fast dualcore system scanning of a few hundreds mkv/m2ts should cause noticeable lags with twonky 5...

same problem on my site. I use Windows Home Server with latest TMS and stream to a NMT A100 PCH from Syabas.
With the former 4.5.x the scan of m2ts went fast. Now it takes very long and often it brakes with a error message.
If the scan was done successfully the NMT now shows an exclamation mark with this file and can not play the file.

With the old version all works fine. Same directory and files. The m2ts files are original backup files from BR discs ripped via anydvdhd.

Any suggestions about this problem?

I have the same problem.
Twonky 5.1.2 on mac mini. Never able to waut, and just interupt the scan.. it takes tooo long on BD folders (m2ts)
