Accessing on Android Phone

Post by tangozebra » Thu Jul 01, 2010 4:11 pm

I am running Twonky Server 6.0

I can access it on my Android phone via browser and play songs, view photos, etc., but the interfaced is hard to navigate due to the small size of the text on the pages. Is there a way to optimize the web interface for mobile devices? Like http://localhost:9000/mobile or something.

I currently do the above over WiFi on the same network, but would be great to have the ability to add a login and SSL so I could open it up on the internet and access my media from my android phone when away from home.

If you just go to http://localhost:9000 you will get a basic page with 4 links on:

PC MediaBrowser
Mobile MediaBrowser 320*240 (http://localhost:9000/webbrowse-e61)
Mobile MediaBrowser 240*320 (http://localhost:9000/webbrowse-n95)
TwonkyMedia Settings

The middle 2 are optimised for small screen sizes and should provide a usable interface. On my iPod Touch, Safari displays them very small but I can expand them so they are a better size, though I then have to do that for every page loaded which is a pain.

Maybe your phone will display them better.

There are some Apps on the Market, Andromote is one of them... but it doesn't work for me.

I will try to install version 6.
