This is a little strange....
I have an AVI file; which will stream to my Samsung UE40c5800 LED TV quite happily from my MacBook (intel) (10.6) running Twonky latest (build 30), but when I try to stream it from my iMac (G5) (10.5) (running same version of Twonky) the Samsung takes ages to start playing, then eventually says 'Audio Codec not supported'.
It's the same file that I'm trying to stream; from the same version of Twonky.
I've looked at all the settings, and they all seem the same; 'Samsung TV' is selected in the 'Media Receivers' section.
The log files from both servers appear (to me) to be the same; both say:
contentFeatures.dlna.org: DLNA.ORG_PN=AVI;DLNA.ORG_OP=01;DLNA.ORG_FLAGS=01700000000000000000000000000000
The file is identified in GSpot as having the following:
Codec: 0x2000 (Dolby AC3) AC3
48000Hz, 448kb/s tot, 6 chnls (3/2.1)
[ISFT] VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.2 (build 2542/release)
[JUNK] VirtualDubMod build 2542/release
[USER] XviD0050
Now I do have a similar file that will play from the iMac, which is identified in GSpot as having:
Codec: 0x2000 (Dolby AC3) AC3
48000Hz 448 kb/s tot , 6 chnls (3/2.1)
[ISFT] VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.2 (build 2540/release)
[JUNK] VirtualDubMod build 2540/release
[USER] XviD0050
It does appear to just be the build 2542 files (I have multiple files that it won't play), but it does only affect the iMac; not the MacBook.
So what else can I look at? Any suggestions? It's driving me mad....
