But I think the person who started this thread ended up using
the previous version, for the same reason
in that it appeared to work from a browser, but not for the clients

I just switched from an Ubuntu SFF box to a Synology DS211+ for my fault tolerant backup and media storage. I had been using Twonky on the Ubuntu box for some time and was digging around for an hour or two trying to fix this this problem on the DS211+. Turns out I had to use 6.0.31-RC for Kirkwood instead of 6.0.32. Definitely has a problem with DLNA/UPnP clients for Kirkwood build on 6.0.32.
