How to add arbitrary media feeds?

Post by jtara » Tue Apr 19, 2011 8:36 pm

The Media Feeds configuration page allows you to add specific external media feeds - YouTube, Shoutcast, etc.

I haven't been able to find any documentation on how to add an arbitrary media feed. I assume I have to edit some configuration file.

Specifically, I want to set-up VLC to stream content on an HTTP port. Now, how do I add that server/port to the Media Feeds?

anyone have any thoughts here? im interested in purchasing this product, but whether or not its worth the investment largely depends on the ability to add 3rd party silverlight feeds. thanks!

Dont know how to add other media feeds
But one can create a playlist for "some types" of feeds

Here is an example for direct links to youtube video's in a playlist
