Post by Repelstale » Fri Jul 15, 2011 5:14 pm

Total newbie here.

I have a Synology ds110j NAS and an original iPad. I would like to stream movies from my NAS to my iPad, without having my computer on, having some program running. I wonder if it's possible to do this with Twonky. TwonkyServer can stream media to iPad or any other device as long as it has a DLNA or UPnP media player on it. Examples include Twonky Mobile, PlugPlayer and many others. Keep in mind we can stream almost all media formats, but the iPad can only play a very limited list of media formats. That means you may need to transcode or convert some of your media in order to get it to play.
