I am running twonky 5.1.7 which came bundled with my WD Sharespace NAS.
I noticed that there is a bug in the server that prevents files with accentuated characters to be offered/served when in a playlist.
In other words, if I browse the available media files by folder, and the files with accentuated characters will be offered. But if I select a playlist that contains some files that have accentuated characters in either the filename or the path, this file is not offered in the playlist.
Does anybody knows of:
1- This issue has since been resolved is latest version (a search in the forum on the term "accentuated" did not yield much)?
2- As of which version has this been resolved (so I can petition WD to upgrade the version of Twonky offered with their firmware)
3- Is there a workaround for this bug in my current version of the server (which apparently I cannot update to a more recent version by myself).
Thanks

Re: Bug with accentuated characters
What type of play list files are you using? m3u, pls, wpl?
Re: Bug with accentuated characters
Hi there,
I was using .pls files. However, after your post, I decided to try and use .m3u files instead, and everything was working fine. So, for some reason, it wasn't working only for the .pls files.
Thanks for asking, my problem is now solved! I'll stop using pls files.
