I'm running Twonky 6.0.34 on a Linux box, and have the following folder structure:
+--- Folder 1
|
+--------Folder.jpg
|
+-------- Video 1.mkv
+-------- Video 1.jpg
|
+-------- Video 2.mkv
+-------- Video 2.jpg
|
When browsing media by folder using TwonkyManager on a Windows PC, I see the thumbnail from the "folder.jpg" at the top level. When I click on that folder, for "Video 2", I see the thumbnail from "Video 2.jpg", but for "Video 1", I see the thumbnail from the "folder.jpg". I've tried renaming Video 1.mkv and jpg to something else, tried re-creating the database, and re-scanning the content, but it still displays the wrong jpeg file for Video 1. Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong here??

Re: Thumbnails driving me nuts...
This issue cannot be reproduced with the latest version of TwonkyServer 7.0. Each video clip shows the correct album art, according to the corresponding jpg image available for each video clip. We'll be posting a new TwonkyServer 7.0 in the forum in the next few weeks. Could you please retest with it, and let us know if it does not fix your problem?
TEST SETUP:
TwonkyManager 3.0, (TwonkyServer 7.0.3rc2)
Running on : Windows XP Pro SP3, Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits

Re: Thumbnails driving me nuts...
I just installed version 7 and now the the proper jpgs are being displayed for each mkv file. I still have not figured out how to make Folder.jpg work. For each folder displayed, instead of getting the Folder.jpg, get a gray box...

Yes, big gray boxes in the web interface --and-- empty folder icons on the WD TV Live plus screen...

Re: Thumbnails driving me nuts...
In my experiences, there are very very few devices that will disaply thumbnails for folders
for ex: the ps3, xbox, and many others, just use there own icon for that
However, I do have a dlna client on my iphone/ipad that does show the thumbnails for folders
But this is dependant on if in the navtree I have albumart='1' set on those containers
and furthermore, if it is set, there are two conditions I have seen happen
1.
if the items in the folder have no embedded artwork, and there are no jpegs for any of the items
it will use the folder,jpg
2.
If any of of the items have embedded artwork or there jpegs for any of the items
folder.jpg will not be used, and it typically uses the first item in the list for what thumbnail to use
As for the web interface, youll notice that the my.twonky.com does show thumbnails for folders
I have actually made code changes in the config.js to get it working for the special version
But I hear that this issue is being looked at and may be resolved in an upcoming release
